Snomads Administrative Assistant (Homer, Alaska)                   July 12, 2015
Part-time contracted position averaging 4 hours per week with increased hours during Membership mailings.

$17/hour

Snomads are looking for a self-starter to replace our current Administrative Assistant. The Admin should be able to use Microsoft Access and Excel programs for membership database maintenance along with the paper files that need to be maintained for Snomads records. The Admin is responsible for sending out membership information and cards.  This person should be able to use Adobe Pro for membership application changes and any text needed on maps etc. The Admin is also responsible for maintaining the information needed to be sent for the trail grooming grant once a month during grooming season. The Admin is required to be at both Board of Directors and General membership meetings to take meeting minutes which then need to be typed up in Microsoft Word for distribution to the board and general members.

The current Admin Assistant will be available for training and advice.

Travel and weekend work may be required;
The ability to lift or move light to moderate weight  may be necessary at times;
Communication by phone, email and other electronic media, and in person will be required.

Snomads Trails Director (Homer, Alaska)                   June 1, 2015
Part-time contracted position averaging 20 hours per week with potential for increased hours with successful fundraising efforts.

$25/hour

Snomads are looking for a self-starter to lead our trails program endeavoring to secure legal easements and trails for back country access. The Director should be personable, diplomatic, and community-minded. Public relations & speaking, land use & planning, grant writing & management, budgeting, time management, organizational and computer skills will be required. The candidate should have a passion for trails and be enthusiastic towards fundraising and community involvement.

The Trails Director in conjunction with the Snomads Board of Directors:

Directs and executes Snomads activities;
Ensures financial stability of the trails programs/grants;
Supports and publicizes Snomads trail efforts;
Help build membership, partnerships with government agencies and other organizations as may be required;
Mentor volunteers;
Represents Snomads in the public arena.
